My New Expensive Alarm Clock

Normally what is your budget to buy a new alarm clock? Or, you do not spend any money and you just use your hand phone as your alarm clock? Or, you do not bother the time at all.

I fall in love on this alarm clock. It is so nice but it is very expensive too. This alarm clock price is RM126. I was shocked! I have never been bought so expensive alarm clock in my life. The boss said can give me discount. It still cost around RM98 after discount. I straight told to boss, it is so expensive. I cannot afford it and over my budget. My earlier budget is around RM30 only. Actually, in my mind I so wanted to buy this clock! :P   Then, I try to bargain with him again. I bargained with him quite long. Finally, he sold me the alarm clock at RM80. I managed to get 36.50% discount. Woww…gambatte…I can join the “Si Lai” group already.  Or, actually I am a ”Si Lai” ^.^

Let’s view my lovely alarm clock photo

Cannot Take Photo Label

Place: Central Market

Visited Time: 6p.m++

Shop: Clock Shop

Let’s see this special clock on the photo. There are so nice. All clocks are imported from Japan.

Do you notice there is a warning label? Can’t see? Try to focus again on the photo. Get it? The answer is …….haha…FIND YOURSELF unless you are blind. :P

Well, you will be thinking that how come I managed to take the photo even there is a warning label?  Or, you don’t even want to bother? Not need to guess! I asked permission from him. I took the above photo in front of boss. The boss didn’t scold me and just stood behind me and let me took the photo.

He also took a catalogue and showed me all type of clocks under this brand which is imported from Japan. Wow…damn nice but it is also very expensive. The price ranges are around RM700 to RM2500!! If you are afford to pay it, why not you go to that shop and pick one of them back home. It is really worth it because you might get back double the money value in future. I’m not lie! My aunty has one. Please see the below photo. She bought it many years ago and cost her around RM200. But, she can sell it at least RM1000. Crazy, right?

Watermelon & Lychee Blast

I brought my best friend to Delicious at One Utama on 28th March 2009. I asked the waitress to introduce their best ordering drink to me. She suggested me to order Watermelon & Lychee Blast. So, I ordered it. Wow…It is a nice drink and I never thought that we could add Lychee in the watermelon juice. But it is very expensive and there was only 2 small Lychees in the drink. The original cost is RM9.90 [If I added the gov tax and service tax, it costs me RM11.385] .

(a) 1 watermelon around RM3.00 [RM0.75/kg watermelon at Carrefour, Klang. Can make for 7 glasses of 100% pure watermelon juice.

(b) A can of Lychee around RM3.50 [I bought a can of good quality Lychee. It had only 14 lychees in the can]

I can make 7 glasses of 100% pure watermelon juice with 2 big lychees in each glass. It is just cost me RM6.50. it is just around RM0.93 per glass. Wow…that means I can use RM11.385 to make around 14 glasses. Besides that, I can share the drinks among my family members. So, it is more worth if we could DIY drinks and make fun with family members at home.

Bz and Tired Week.

People busy to buy christmas’ things or relax at home during weekend. But I work like hell during weekend. Today I feel very tired. Grandma’s birthday is coming soon. I got to rush my task and go back on Wednesday. Then we will having birthday celebration on Wednesday night.

Time Management

1. Avoid the Long, Rambling To-Do List.

  • Avoid enormous to-do lists without prioritization

2. Prioritize.

  • Set priorities.
  • Ask yourself what you have to do in the beginning of day and decide what you need to get done by the end of the day to move forward on some of your “Big Hairy Audacious Goals.”
  • What’s red hot and time-specific?

3. Eat Your Spinach.

  • Start to do fun tasks, or work on those things you are passionate about.
  • [They] recharge your batteries and give you energy. But think of all the procrastination time you save when you tackle the tough stuff first.
  • Know your times of highest output and maximize them.

4. Save Time for Murphy.

  • “When you over-schedule your day, you create stress for yourself by not allowing time for Murphy’s Law—the inevitable and unforeseeable things that go wrong.” LaBrosse recommends leaving at least two hours of your workday unscheduled.

5. Reboot Your Brain.

  • Get enough sleep

6. Know Where Your Time Is Going.

  • If your boss asked you what you’ve been doing all week, could you answer? “If you don’t know where your time is going, spend a week logging it. Then evaluate the results.” Be sure to log all activities, even those not directly related to the job. After all, this is for your own personal improvement and should not be seen by anyone else. “This simple exercise will often give you insight into what you should not be doing.”

7. Do Similar Tasks in Concert.

  • “When you group like tasks together, you can save an enormous amount of time and really get momentum going,” LaBrosse says. “Look at what you have to accomplish and set up the flow so that it builds logically and saves you having to back track.”

8. Make Technology Work for You.

  • Automating or standardize the tasks wherever possible.
  • Build an e-mail culture that works for your team and organization.

9. Make Meetings Matter.

  • Should not hold a meeting if the issue can be resolved using e-mail, conference call or some other informal method.
  • Get to the point and make the meeting matter.
  • Everyone’s time is valuable, so no meeting should be called unless there is an agenda with clear objectives.
  • Distribute the agenda in advance to allow attendees to prepare contributions and questions.

10. Take a Break.

  • Exercise and stretching are critical to maximizing your time and making sure your brain is working at its peak performance

11. Use Passion to Recharge Your Batteries.

  • Passion creates energy.
  • Leaving space on your calendar for something that you love.

12. Get Professionally Trained.

  • Invest some time in your professional development and thereby accelerate your career.
  • beef up your skill set will help propel you forward.
  • The first step is to be committed to making every minute count.

A collapsed tire

People start their job in the morning. But I start to write my blog in the morning. Haahaaa…..

I’m very tired and sleepy. I slept at 1 a.m yesterday night. There were many activities happen in yesterday night.

Activities

(a) My friend and I went to P.J SS2’s Night Market yesterday night. We also took our dinner there.

(b) My aunty and I visited my uncle in Subang Jaya Medical Center after my dinner. My uncle admitted to hospital because he has Dengue. A lot of people came to visit him like his daughter in law’s parents and his wine manufacturing staff. We have good time to chit chat together. Well, our noise was too loud and nurse came to ask us slow down our voice. My aunty and I went off around 10:45 p.m.

Lifecycle of Aedes Mosquito

(c) I felt that my car a bit weird while I was driving back to my aunty’s house. I stopped my car in the nearest petrol station. Oh my God! My car tire had collapsed. Therefore, I went to ask help because I do not know how to change tire. An Indian man came to help me and change it. It was raining in yesterday night. But, I still stand next to my car and saw the Indian man to change my car tire. So, I get wet. I paid him RM10 after he has changed the tire.

Forgotten Day

It is raining day. I forget to bring my jacket. I hope I wouldn’t be cold later.

5:31p.m

I’m cold and get ready to go home. I also forget to bring my handphone.
